Financial Literacy and Internet Trading Seminar at Cumilla by Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd. (CSE)

Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd. after its Demutualization has taken numbers of initiatives to promote Bangladesh Stock Market as a brand in both local and foreign market places. As part of its development plan, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) organized a resourceful seminar at ‘Cumilla Townhall’ based on Investor awareness and financial literacy along with the Internet Trading on 27th September, 2018.

 

The venue is situated at the center of the Cumilla city where a spontaneous gathering of 500-600 people was present. On this occasion, audio visual presentation has been given on the Financial Literacy by the qualified resource person under the guidance of Bangladesh Securities & Exchange Commission (BSEC). Besides, an in-depth presentation was presented on the CSE Internet Trading System (ITS) by the CSE IT experts.

 

Considering the audience of the seminar, CSE initiated to include both existing and potential investors specially the young folk of the society. Based on the branding activities of the seminar, there was a fruitful gathering which included investors and prospective investors from different strata such as entrepreneurs, Public and Private service Officials, physicians, Lawyers, Engineers, house wives, students and teachers from higher education institutions etc. The seminar is believed to be a great momentum for both of the existing and latent investors of Cumilla to enlighten their knowledge and aptitude on capital market and also to enhance their expertise on digital trading.  

 

The seminar was inaugurated by CSE Managing Director Mr. M. Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar, FCA, FCMA. The presentation on financial literacy presented by Mr. Md. Nahidul Islam Khan, DGM, TRECH Marketing Services and detail presentation on Internet Trading Services (ITS) presented by Mr. Syed Moinuddin, Assistant Manager, IT,CSE and Mr. Abdullah-bin-Hossain Mehedi, Assistant Manager, IT, CSE. Besides them Mr. AKM Shahroze Alam, DGM, CSE, Mr. Faisal Huda, Deputy Manager and others were presented on the event.

 

The Chittagong Stock Exchange has acknowledged continuing this type of awareness programs/seminars in other cities of Bangladesh chronologically which must play a massive role to strengthen the participation in digital trading along with affirming a vigorous & sustainable capital market for future.
